Winner of the 2007 CANEX / The Personal Insurance Contest

What would you do if you were given a $15,000 cheque? This is the fun question James Thomas, from Ottawa, had to ask himself after he won the 2007 contest organized by CANEX and its partner, The Personal Insurance Company. Mr.Thomas, who retired from the Canadian Forces eight years ago, has been insured with the CANEX/Personal Insurance Home and Auto Group Insurance program for close to twenty years.

Each year CANEX, in partnership with The Personal, organizes a contest for the clients of the group insurance program, as well as for people requesting a home or auto insurance quote. This year the winner had to choose between an All-terrain vehicle or $15,000. Mr.Thomas, after his initial disbelief that he had won, decided on the $15,000, for use on a trip to England with his wife, to help pay his daughter’s tuition, complete some home renovations and share with family and charities.

Next year you could be the lucky winner! In celebration of CANEX’ 40th year of "Serving Those Who Serve", the 2008 contest will give away a new 2009 Dodge Challenger, valued at up to $40,000.
