Chief Executive Officer's Award of Exceptional Merit

Criteria For Selection

To be selected, employees or teams must demonstrate that they have performed their duties and responsibilities in an exceptional and superior manner, and by so doing, have contributed to the achievement of the mission, goals, and objectives of Non Public Funds (NPF), Canadian Forces Exchange System (CANEX), Service Income Security Insurance Plan (SISIP), Personnel Support Programs (PSP) (including Base Funds), Finance and Informatics, Human Resources (HR) and Internal Audit and Review (IA&R), or have brought significant credit to, and enhanced the reputation of, NPF.

Nomination Procedures and Approval

Nominations must be in writing using the form found in Appendix 1 to Annex B to Section 18 of the Human Resources Policy and Procedures Manual. This form is classified as a PROTECTED B document on completion.

Division Heads who choose to submit nominations from the list of annual Divisional recipients need only submit the Divisional Award Nomination Form with a covering memorandum providing additional information to support a nomination for the Chief Executive Officer's Award of Exceptional Merit.

Nominations for the awards are to be signed-off as follows:

  1. Base Commanders for Base PSP and Base Fund employees;

  2. Chairs or Executive Directors for Military Family Resource Centres; and

  3. Division Heads for employees of the Divisions.

Nominations from representatives of the Environmental Chiefs of Staff may also be submitted.

Detailed nominations are to be submitted by 15 March of the applicable year to CFPSA Headquarters, attention Vice President Human Resources.
