Canada Day Celebrations in Bosnia-Herzegovina

Ottawa, ON - Canadian artists are preparing for an overseas Canada Day military show tour celebration presented by the Canadian Forces Personnel Support Agency (CFPSA).

Patricia Conroy, Lisa Cameron, Allison Granger, and Maritza will be taking to the stage on the 1 st and 2 nd of July to perform for the Canadian Forces in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Show producer Ted Moseman , of Horizon International Talent, will be producing the show, which will include country, Celtic, and French pop.

Country superstar Patricia Conroy , a Montreal native, has been entertaining audiences for 15 years. Since 1993, Conroy has released eight number-one singles, five number-one videos on CMT, and she has won numerous Canadian Country Music Association awards. This will be her first performance for the troops.

As a country singer, guitar player, and Ottawa native, Lisa Cameron is a familiar veteran of CFPSA show tours, making her fourth trip to perform for the troops. Lisa has opened for the likes of Prairie Oyster, Tommy Cash, Duane Steele and Mac Wiseman.

Allison Granger , a Brandon, Manitoba native has been performing professionally since the age of 16 with the internationally renowned theatrical group Barrage , with whom she toured with for seven-and-a-half years. She has shared the stage with many large acts including Alanis Morrisette, Barenaked Ladies, Blue Rodeo, and Keith Urban. This is the first time Allison will be performing for the troops. Allison recently perfo r med for the troops at Op Athena ATHENA in Kabul, Afghanistan this past Dec ember .

Born in the Dominican Republic, Maritza made the move to L'Ancienne-Lorette, a town just outside Quebec City at the age of two. After graduating from the journalism program at Universit é du Qu é bec à Montr é al, she won a spot on the first season of Star Académie, in which she was gained popularity in the Quebec music scene.

CFPSA has a long tradition of providing shows tours to CF personnel serving overseas and in isolated locations. Over the course of a six-month rotation, a CF Show Tour plays an important part in major operations and is always a big morale booster, bringing a small piece of Canada to deployed personnel.
